    Excellent MM1985

Still working on H. Schade ? must still be some others too ? Only one addition/correction to your list, Wagner = Clemens Wagner. One of the most prolific makers of German headgear during the war including tropical sidecaps, M40's & tropenhelms.

Anyone feel free to add or comment further ?

    thanks
    Tim

I would not be too eager to add "Schade" to the list.

Some time ago, the eminent KM collector Michel Legrand posted a KM tropical cap on another forum (I can't find the post now) made by "ORAG ULM". I have seen this name once on a Heer uniform, but never anywhere else (except for Michel's mention of it).

                  Hallo Leroy

I have searched the Adressbuch Ulm 1939.

                  No ORAG

                      Spot on sir,

"a little further research has found no evidence so far that H Schade made tropical caps. In fact tis likely this "H Schade" only made fake caps as its deemed a bogus stamp. The real H Shade produced visored caps in abundence but used the logo KM not "H Schade" on its visors. The only caps stamped with "H Shade" that i found were all LW sidecap fakes"....

I don't believe ALMI has been added to the list.

Thanks very much! I just can't navigate that other forum now (their entire format seems to have changed). I did find an 'ORAG MU' on LW collar tabs there (a company apparently still in business, now selling apparel), but no 'ORAG ULM'. Maybe a branch?
