P V Lukas and sewing skills

Posted this in Collectors Community but thought it would get some more attention here. If mod see's thinks the cross posting ain't good they may remove one of them at will.

Seen alot of items from ebay showing up on PvL sites during the years. Here are some recent ones.
Sometimes restiching and replacing are mentioned but not all the time. With nice profit aswell.

Old news to many of us (especially when it comes to wrappers) but thanks for posting these pics and comparisons.

I dont see ANY fault in this at all. Its clearly written whats replaced on both the visorcap and the sidecap. That seems very honest to me.

You'r telling that you know more examples where any replaced insignias is not mentioned. Why dont you post them then???
I dont think your strong emotions for PvL is holding your back anyways?

Your last line is epic: With nice profit aswell

Well thats truly something really bizzare! A dealer who sells militaria to make a profit? Totally unheard of. Insane!

RaZpuTIN, one quesion for you: why dont you use your own name?

To the front there is an officers Bullion eagle on darkgreen backing hand sewn in place (replaced by us).
Seems dead straight to me ??? Not exactly Herr Weitze is it.

Nice! A quick re-editing. Atleast some members saw the unedited text and here is a google cache of the old text. And I got the page saved as a HTML file for posterity.

            Caught with the pants down.
You only made it worse for yourself trying to cover up your tracks.
I don't got any grudge against PvL, but I don't like people getting arsch-vergewaltigt.

I have to say that this is a ridiculous witch hunt.

As per the first cap. Here is PvL's description:

To the front there is an officers Bullion eagle on darkgreen backing hand sewn in place (replaced by us).

Which bit of that is missleading?

As far as making a nice profit, why not? I've done the same many times. Ebay is an auction house and always a gamble. It takes experience and knowledge to pick out the gems. Why on earth would you buy something there only to sell it cheaper on the collectors market?

I don't got any problems with profit, done it myself numerous times. But if the insignia are resewn by the seller this should be said and made clear. Sure it's hard to be certain about orginality of sewning, but if it was done days before putting up for sale it's dishonest not stating it.

This mess just got even worse by trying to cover it up.

Well, to be honest, it's hardly the end of the world is it.

Original cap, original insignia. Let's all hang Peter for not being totaly honest when they were put together for a few days!!!

Jesus, I seen complete ground up fakes being sold by the most highly regarded dealers for 10's of thousands of dollars and never did they make any kind of admittance.

I tell you what. I'd rather give my money to Peter any day of the week than most. At least I know that if I decide to return an item, he will pay me back, no questions asked.

Sure, I've bought things from him and still would if it something I ache for really bad.
But I still like transparency, was it wrong of me starting this thread?
Trying to cover up the tracks and then via a lapdog accusing me of lying, is a totally different thing.

Yes it is. Not good at all.

Who is this lapdog you refer to?

Well, I think now I understand why it´s so easy for dealers to fool collectors - they even defend their kind of business!!
