Lady called me up and pulled out a dusty box from her 1st husbands fathers war years.

Didnt kow what it was at first....Still not sure.

No Black light glow on the stitches

Looks like it might have come from a smokers home...I have seen many white thread items this same color...but, maybe not. I have not seen Luft E.M. style insignia embroidered in gold thread.

The reason I bring this up... Is I was standing there when she got this out of the attic the box was covered in dust pulled out the helmets, 2 flags and these Stars and stripes newpapers.

Ive seen the nicotine "stains" that was mentioned on other pieces.. but I doubt some one was tokin' it up in the attic?

Sorry, Jumper. If anything, it would be an officer's forage cap, not a general's, which would have gilt piping around it. Regardless, that insigina is bad, so I agree with the other guys here that you are out of luck on this one.
