Cavalry (or signals?) officers cap

Hi Guys,

This side cap is part of a trade that I am potentially putting together. Since I'm a helmet gut I would like your expert opinions. Firstly I'm not sure if this is cavalry or signals. I'm leaning towards cavalry but it could be just soiled signals. And is this the correct type of eagle?
