M43 Panzer?

Hi,
When I read frank2fars estimate of an original "T" etc Panzer cap I almost fell of my chair.It caused me to rush some pics of the cap I bought a few days ago onto the Forum to be checked out.
To me it was a mint early issue worth maybe £3 to £4 hundred pounds and as it was cheap I bought it.If it turns out to be really valuable then its made my day.

I would agree. Also, I am sorry to have elevated your heart rate and blood pressure.

My estimate is only an opinion. To me, a real Panzer M43, is more rare and harder to obtain of most all the combat related headgear...and the most desireable.

Considering the price of paratrooper helmets, General's visors, and WSS headgear, textbooks Panzer M43 are certainly more rare and saught after.

LW paratrooper DD, $20-30
LW General's visor (recently sold) $26k
WSS Panzer Officer's overseas cap, $15k
WSS DD, $15-18K
Heer DD, $5-6k
Cased Junker RK recently sold for over $25k

All the provided examples are much more common than a textbook Panzer M43. These prices can been seen on the open market and some are of recent sales.

I guess ones sanity could be gauged by the size of ones wallet
