The base cap is an original Heer Em/NCO contract cap, if that helps.

That is correct, your is a rebuilt Heer.

A good lesson here that can save you a ton of money is pay attention to detail. Without even going into the signs of a rebuild what you posted was a cap with a trikot exterior and a contract lining. The cap band is that of an officers. This alone should make you run. Not to mention some of the other tell tail signs of a rebuild. Collectors Guild cap looks ok from pics.
