    Panzer side cap

I got this cap a few month ago, completely stripped. Maker is "Bayerische Mützenfabrik Wilhelm Schreiber". Its made in 1941, traces of the former soutache are clearly visible. I restored it with a white eagle on black ground and a green cocade which was not uncommon in 1940/41.
Its without doubt original but I have one question:
On the left side there are two small holes which are no moth holes. Something was applied there. Has anyone an idea what the soldier might had worn there?

the grommets are completely oxidized. Should one anything do or let it how it is?

I'd be interested to hear some opinions of this one.

        Anyone?

is already done - as good as possible. And I found a black cocade that fits this cap far better than the olive one.

But I still dont know which cap badge was worn on this hat

The green cockade was also used in the early run caps...Billbert

you are right, but it was not original to this cap so I decided to excange it when I suddenly got a convenient black one.

unfortunately not. The distance between the two holes is about 7cm.

If you would read this thread from the beginning you had discovered that it was me who applied this green cocade, it was me who removed it and it was me who apllied the black cocade!!

The reason I'm interested in this cap is because of Bayerische Mutzenfabrik Wilhelm Schreiber and the stamps. Once again we see the same maker use different stencils (look at the typeface) or maybe one or all of these stamps are bogus?
