Dear all, there is a rare Justice Official Visor offered: http://klaus-butschek.com/index.php?...526721&pgNr=12. I wonder whether it is real or not due to its strange lining. Also, what is the rank of the owner of such cap. Thanks for your opinions.

The use of bed ticking for the lining suggests just post war manufacture to me, but I am no cap expert, just a lowly police collector wandering far from home.
This same color combination of body, band and piping seem to have been carried over on Justiz caps for a short period post war, at least in non-US controlled areas.
Of course a locally made, i.e; not factory produced, cap could have been produced with such a lining during the war as well. Anytime there was a shortage of materials at hand, this sort of thing could occur.
No way to really tell in my opinion.
