    Panzer Officers Side Cap

    Hi,

Not really sure about this one. Would be more surprised if it's a 'good' one than if not. Anyway, opinions are most welcome.

If it gets it'll be for sale.

    Thanks,

    Mark

              evrything about it looks bad
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

                Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not really that surprised to be honest. It's a shame because the photos do it no justice it's a fairly nice looking cap 'in hand'...

The more interesting thing is that from what I know about the background of this cap is that it came from a reputable long-time dealer (if there is such a thing...!) here in the UK and was part of a large collection which included some very high-end & expensive items from the same source.

Oh well at least I know for sure. I know that Lenny W says 'everything about it looks bad' but can I just ask, what are the specific bad points? I'm happy to be educated here.

                Thanks again,

                Mark

Everything is wrong Mark, wool, construction, insignia, markings.

Would bet 50 quid it came from Latvia.

Mark, are you willing to share the name of the dealer? 90% of UK dealers hate this forum so I doubt it will make a difference to their attitude of us here.

Most definitely, I just wasn't sure of the forum's etiquette.

Surprise, surprise another item from Regimentals

Good old regimentals. It's not that they don't sell some nice originals too, it's just that you, the buyer have to be ultra careful and the small photos don't help at all.

For example, that GERMAN FOCKE WULF 200 TAIL FIN they have is very real, very rare and has an amazing history behind it. If I had the money, it would on my wall in a heartbeat.

Wouldn't disagree with that - they get some very nice original stuff. In my experience they've also built a 'reputation' for themselves over the years...

I guess it's a case of 'let the buyer beware'
