Now I know I've missed something in this long thread. I thought the 'powers that be' were saying this HBT lining was a sign of a fake.
Clearly some feel otherwise.
Can this be cleared up for the unwashed masses?

About the combination Italian lining / WSS M43 cap
It's considered like dangerous because this lining (available in big quantity
and original) was massively used by the faker's
That doesn't mean ALL the cap with Italian satin are repro.
Keep in mind this material was used late in the war in the following piece
of uniforms :
-M43 cap : luft (heer? not seen yet)
-Jacket : M43 & 44 (heer & waffen) , fliegerbluse (partially lined with)
-pea pattern jacket & pants
-M43 & M44 pants
So, why not in the WSS M43 cap?Comment
