    I saw many of these for sell in HH auctions in the 97/98, some of them for officer! At that time they cheated me too

      "Walt Kanzler's (Polish?)" had access to the "Felina" hoard where they found bins of left-over unfinished tropical M40 caps in various stages of assembly or being cut out. This is what makes a lot of the caps from this source deceptive. Many are not ground up fakes. They are "parts" caps incorporating originals bits and materials made before May 1945. Seemingly, some caps were actually completely assembled in the bins awaiting the liners. However, he did not seem to have access to zinc grommets.
