Help identifying a field cap...

A friend of mine picked this cap up, the person he got if from "swore" it is a WWII Luftwaffe pioneer cap... I think it is a post war cap of some sorts... any help is appreciated... thanks.

I ve forgotten what exactly these are and this one is a little different than other m43s and overseas caps with black piping for same group I believe its Berlin postwar..either police or postal Billbert
