Red officers fez

Welcome to the forum....From the limited pictures....I'd say the Red (Maroon) Fez is probably original.....however....it's not an officers (worn by all ranks as the "dress" version) and the insignia have been removed (making the fez of little value or interest)....BTW....there should be a series of loops at the rear of the fez to hold the tassel in place which isn't shown in the pictures....

Even if your new to this hobby.....this would be a poor investment. The insignia would cost more than the fez and would not be easy to apply without it being obvious (and detrimential).....spend the extra money and get a complete Fez.....they aren't that hard to find still.....

He hit it right on the head, they can be had for anywhere between 1000-1300 for a authentic piece. Good luck, and dont jump into something.
