The early RZM tag means its a carry over from the Algemeine SS (or SS-VT)!
issued for early panzer!!!

excuse the stupid question ( I'm just a helmet collector ) but is the skull supposed to be hand stitched ?

They come both ways..It may have originally had the skull button on it instead of bevo skull...Billbert

That eagle reminds me almost exactly of the fez eagle, was that the correct type for this type hat, or were they found with several different eagle configurations. I have one taken from a hat of the same type, and its totally different. Maybe somebody might elaborate.

Some had the skull button, which was replaced with the BeVo skull. I would be tickled pink to have that hat in my collaction.

The feldmutze tags seem to run a 5 digit serial number. You will see this in Allgemeine SS caps with this tag as well. It seems to be the norm and is not a problem for this RZM tag series.
