Officers Overseas Cap - with Fur?

I suspect this is a standard Army officers cap with fur (wartime) added. Has anyone seen this as a typical cold weather feature?

Interior - looks like someone just wanted a little extra warmth when the flaps were folded down than the single ply cap flap offered.

I've seen that configuration and quite a few others. That cap looks particularly well done and a great original example.

Thanks for looking, Richard. I've seen the modified M43's, but not the standard overseas cap. I suppose that even without a bill on it, a modified overseas cap would still be better than nothing!

There is a well known foto of a famous panzer officer in a black somewhat similar cap... Billbert

Right Bill; I think that cap has a full-furred side that comes all the way around to the front. He's definately wearing a a furry sidecap though.
