    luft trop.field-made cap

For the price of a big mac I think it might has a chance ..
Eagle replaced by me, it has a ghost of a pith helmet eagle.
    Made of heavy canvas.

I don't care for it. It looks like someone tried to replicate a tropical version of a coffee can cap

Hi Jos, have you got any history with it?

No history, which I don't care for, stories will be stories..

It has a few good things not found on "copies" that easily, one is that it also has a hand-made kockade ..

May we please see a side profile? I love the hat; but I got a soft spot for Luft tropical billed caps.

Has a very good look Jos. Have seen authentic field made Luft. field caps from this same canvas material.

On the other side of the argument is, where is the wear and staining to the interior one usually sees?

A tough call without more information. What caused the rust stains on the interior? Are there holes in the side of the cap?

                  Regards,
                  John

The pics were made by using flash at night, the "rust" stains are much lighter by normal day light, have made a new set of pics trying to catch some dirt, but in reality it's much better to see, camera makes all rather light in color for some reason.
I presume there's kinda card board in the bill, it's broken at several places, not bend, but seperated, kept in place by the stitching.

                    Jos.

I like it a lot Jos! Especially the hand sewn cockade. Another from absolutely genuine field made cap.
