"Hans Brandt" Stamp on Tropical Schiffchen

Trpical headgear mavens: I'd greatly appreciate your thoughts on whether this is a period-original "Hans Brandt" maker stamp or one of the "Hans Brandl" repros.
Thanks in advance for any constructive input!

Hi, can you post anymore pics? Here is my original, which has at least one difference that I can see from yours, though I think the usual tell is a dot above the t making it look lika an i, which I cant see on yours. The grommets are a good tell for original v's fake.

I don't own the cap (yet). Here're two pics of the grommets -

Hi, the grommets look good, so I think the cap probably is good, but remember it should not have a soutache at that date, so if it has got one, it has been messed with.

PS see what others have to say, who have more knowledge on these than me.

          Jerry,
I'm aware of the official July '42 cut-off date for the soutache, but here's a pic of the front of the cap I'm eyeing -

Have you got a picture of the area behind the insignia? As you and I know, it should not have a soutache in august 42. Have you seen the other 3 I posted with, IMO added soutaches? Hopefully, one of the DAK specialists will post some opinions on this cap and the 3 I have posted.

As an update, 8/42 dated brandt caps can have a soutache, so this cap with soutache stands a good chance of being good, definately a good cap and if no obvious signs of post war upgrading are found, it is probably all good.

                Hello,

The cap looks good. Can we please see more images of the soutache and the cockade's stitching?

                Thank you,

                C.

Original hat, soutache, well from the picture, I could entertain a _ _ _ _ _ (fill in the blank)
