Tunic shot for comparison.

If the soldbuch is good and I suppose it is, you have a treasure in your hands Richard.
Just a question, is the shirt from the same source you have found this grouping?

Thanks for posting this fine set, Richard. Brace yourself: some will likely challenge the Soldbuch contents, authenticity, and likelyhood of the picture matching the actual wrapper.
Please don't take it to heart. This is a magnificent find, and I truly ENVY such a fine bit of history!
regards, Robert

tunic
Just a few observations: the pip on the visible shoulder board "lands" on the black chevron in the pic and it "lands" between the chevrons on this tunic. The collar and lapel appear much wider in the photo than the tunic in color if you measure the collar tab and botton hole and use them to gauge distance. The placement of the metal catch is above the collar/lapel "V" in the photo and and past the point of the "V" on the tunic? Or am I just seeing things? Nice tunic!

It actually is the same tunic I believe. It took me quite a while to get the wrap to lay even close to how it does on a real human body, and it still wasn't perfect. The lapel width and collar width vary as to how the person wears it. I experimented for hours trying different angles, heights, adjustments, etc. The soldbuch photo is a poor quality photo and I didn't think it was the same tunic either until I had the blowup made.
The little "V" on the board is blurry and the pip actually does fall in the same place. The catch hook is in the exact same place in reality and in the photo. In the photo the hook has a little reflection on it, and its a stitching shadow that looks like a hook where the collar and lapel meet.
Either way its one heck of a rare item that many feel never existed. There are period photos of Police HBT wraps, denim wraps ( I have one of these too), and wool stug wraps, but the photos belong to a Panzer Police researcher who also writes books on that subject.
