You have some very nice Police caps, so I will do as you suggest and put this one up for discussion. This one also came with a few other items from this Police tank or armored car driver.

Beautiful. Some may fight you on the tag, but the construction and quality of this cap is dead-on.

I really like the ID myself, and the soldbuch addition is very nice. Does it provide details on his service with police armor? It would be very interesting to see what his uniform issue was.

Yes, it provides details on his service/training, but also has a photo of him wearing his SS cut Police blue gray wrapper. That is also in my possession and is clearly the one in the soldbuch photograph.

I will not post it as there are certain members who seem to delight in trying to find fault in either my comments or my items. The wrap has the same ID tag in it.

I agree that there are certain items you don't won't to post publicly as there unfortunately are some narrow minded textbook lovers out there who try to spoil exceptional pieces. I do have some items like that in my collection as well. With photografic evidence, however, I see no real danger of this happening. On the other hand, this is a great opportunity for the collecting community to learn something. I'm not saying we have a responsibility to share this knowledge when we know better but I would say it's worth a try !
