No, the three rings of piping. I am confident that there were no Admin NCO's and that you have a mountain troop cap.

There were HV "NCO's" in the lower careers so it is possible that the cap is indeed for an HV NCO, which makes it much rarer than the officer variety. On my monitor is looks like Admin dark green. Either way, a nice original Schellenburg. I bummed the pic below from Laurence Strong - I hope he does not mind.

thanks everybody,so we are going with admin cap,if so how rare are these caps? and whats an HV NCO,,sorry about this i still need to learn alot
i know its in the wrong section but here are a few pics of the tunic it was with.i wonder if the cap really does belong with this tunic.

Well, given the price, I would say that you have a good deal. The tunic has a lot of added stuff on it - officer boards, EM insignia, etc, but it could very well be original. Original as to what is the $64000 question!
