Artillery Schirmütze: Real?

Hey guys, this is an artillery Schirmütze that I recently purchased to supplement my selection. I've done a lot of reading and research but am still fairly inexperienced. I am very curios about my visor. I am under the impression it is legit with upgrade chin cord that also looks of the era and perhaps a replaced wreath? I am worried about beige stitching visible under the piping on the bottom of the band as seen in these pictures. The pebbled buttons on the side are stitched looped type not push through, the stitching on the buttons is black. The stitching on the inside is also somewhat messy, especially in the front and back.

Your cap is a EM/NCO contract cap that someone upgraded to an officer by adding officer chincord and buttons, when, who knows. The sweatband could be replaced or repaired as evidence by thread showing under the lower piping. On contract caps it's not unusual to see this thread but usually only a small amount is showing if any.
