This cap is not HJ or even Hitlerjugend related save for the cap emblem .
a REGULATION Hitlerjugend wintermutze , has a buckled closer and the buckle itself has an RzM mark .

          Hitler Youth Cap

Thanks for your comments....BUT.....I posted this cap in Mar 2010 (a year + ago) asking for comments....and received nothing.. positive or negative.

What surprizes me...is that I list the cap and I receive this kind of comment.

          Please elaborate!!!

I know it isn't the "TEXTBOOK" winter cap....based upon the pictures in books...BUT are you telling me that they "ONLY" wore a certain cap and that's it...no others??? I hope NOT...

If other SMEs would please comment...I'd appreciate. Thank you,

Sorry, bad cap far from being HJ: why do you think the shield was removed form the inner top? Buttons with prongs? The wool, the whole look of it...

Others then textbook? Why do you think there were regulations and the RZM?

Bring it back if you can. Fast!

p.s. if I saw your cap/post a year ago I would have commented the same...

Occasionally , an HJ member would wear a civilian style skimutze , however ; 95% of the time a youth would wear the regulation wintermutze . This cap of yours ' if it is period and not a 1950s or 60s ski cap" would be classified as a civilian style ski cap ...maybe worth 35 dollars . the cap emblem is worth aprox the same .

Actually, there were civilian versions with buckles that were produced post war also. I'm sure there are many in fine collections today unbeknown to even the advanced collector.

Thats the reason ( in this case ) to buy only the textbook RZM caps.
So you don't have to fail buying a HJ cap.

And I agree with the rest.. No good i'm sorry.
