    A few Reichsbahn visors...good or ...?

    Hi,

Traded a few items again and as a bonus recieved these 4 visors, i really like the red one, two others miss the cockades and other insignia and the other one seems a bit "turned" (the insignia is not straight on the front but a little to the left, im guessing this is because of storage).

As im totally not experienced with visors, let alone Reichsbahn, can anyone say a few wise words please?

-1 Are they "good" or bad? I can't see anything wrong witht hem, but want to be sure
-2 What era are they from? Obviously the red one is WWII or a little pre-WWII because of the eagle, but the others...???
-3 What rankings are they? And what insignia should have been on the missing ones?
-4 Are these even interesting for collectors? (also valuewise?)

Thanks in advance, i have more pictures, but maybe someone can tell more from these pictures already?

the first is a a somewhat odd (brown velvet or faded black?) railway cap.
the second is not III reich, should be a postwar railway visor cap.
the third is a rare early customs visor cap for officers (you need a red/white/black cockade on center band and a political eagle on peak).
the last is a fireman cap for volunteer troops (usually you need a cockade on top and a police insignia on the band, but this one bears traces of a center cockade so it can be pre or post)...
you should post pictures of the inside.
it's hard to talk about values, they are not high priced caps, but if you'll decide to sell the third please remember me.

Hi, thanks a lot, i just spend an hour searching online but came not much furher as a few repros on ebay and probably not the correct ones too.

The red one has a very dark brown part, alost black, i took pictures with very bright light, thats probably why it shows so light brown?

So the second one is post war? Does this mean the fifties or closer to nowadays? I hoped it would be pre war but guess you can't have it all

The green one is the rarest? This surprises me a lot, i expected it to be less older than the others.

The last one not even reichsbahn then?

Will post pics of the inside in a minute, need to upload them first.

      Thank you very much

I confirm, this is a 100% original nice early customs visor cap, as told.

I agree with the reverend. I have seen a few Reichsbahn visors with the brown band. It may just be a bad dye lot, or some other purpose, or they simply ran out of black that day and decided to use brown. Regs are not well-adhered to in the civil arena.
