    LW Officer M43 opinions needed

    Hi Guys,

Well I tried to find one of these at the SOS, but didn't have any luck. So could you please share your opinions with me on the dealer offered piece?

    Thanks

Hi John, nice to meet you at the show. There was at least one officer Luft M43 hat at the show in a case. I can't recall who had it, what it cost, or if it looked good. So many hats in such short time!

This one appears to have a chance, is not a true M43, but a Bergmutze.

Pics are a bit small, but the eagle looks pretty chewed, less backing around it ...?!
Think at least you should ask decent pictures .

                      Jos.

                          M43

Thanks guys. It was nice meeting both of you at the show. I wish I had seen the one you guys are talking about. Was it a single button example? Does Jim Peterson have a web site or anyone know how to contact him?

I saw many two-button caps at the show, but only a single one-button example and it was too messed with. I am interested in an officer or an EM/NCO example.

Can someone please help me understand the difference between the M43 and the bergmutze. And what is the story behind the bergmutze? When was it worn and by who exactly?

From the pics, not crazy about it...
It's very hard to authentificate these officer M43 caps from the poor pics showed here.
Anyway , this one is in the "maybe" category.

Hi John, perhaps this is more like what you are looking for. An EM single button M43 cap?
