Diplomatic visor

I am a tunic collector but have had this visor for some years. Reading comments on another thread ('A-SS cap') makes me wonder about this piece.
Any comments on its authenticity would be welcome.

I have had an Alteste SS General that was made like this, not sure
if this is one but i guess one of the experts will know.

Two concerns for me - off center insignia and the tight stitching on the liner.

Not the quality I would expect.

I don't like the insignia at all. They look like reproductions to me (lack of detail and symmetry, poor overall quality, etc.).

Plus the visable stiches above the bottom of the velvet band, above the piping.

The cap is not right.The quality of the insignia is almost always an immediate give away on diplo. caps
