Here's a nice orange red piped Ordanance visor - put against orange and red piped caps, this one is in between.

I have handled several erels with this type of wool material and all the others have had the pressed paper Stirnshutz sweatband. This is the first I have handled with a leather version.

I cannot comment on the subtle variations of the shade of Waffenfarbe due to the effects monitors, graphics cards and digital images...but I can confirm this is a really nice example of an Erel Standard!

Can you explain why the cap-band has been "turned" by 90 degrees? Normally is the seam of the sweatband at the back and the EREL-mark on the left-side stirn.
