    GJ Officers Visor cap Luxus

hallo guys, here is another cap form my collection.
This time it's a GJ officers cap. The cap has an high peak one, a mid war production, and it's made on doeskin-like wool which have correctly "stiffed" and become a little hard. The color is quite light...more gray than green.

Insignias detail. The wreath is bullion, edelweiss and eagle is metal. you can see a strange position on the cockade, but I can't see any sign of replacing or manipulation, so I think it's coeval to the cap.

Side button and cordel close up. Please note the micropeebled silver button, usually seen on political stuff and rarely on military headgear.

          Let's go inside.
The lining is a beautiful deep blue, seldom seen color on heer caps. The maker is the generic "luxus" Note the gray pad all along the sweatband.

A better view of the Maker's mark.

The juncture of the synthetic sweatband is on the left side of teh cap instead of the classic rear side.

Detail: the felted pad has a grey color similar to the body of teh cap, but you can see near the visor wich is pale cream color. Note also the texture of the artificial leather.

Last Picture: the frontside cork pad. Also note the double stitching of the lining.
                  Ciao!

These Luxus hats are also underrated. The wool is a boiled wool. Sweet piece, Fabio....

and...yes, this is the stongest kind of wool I've ever found on a visor cap. it would keep its shape forever
