SS Officers Visor

Hey...Some of you know that I am looking for one of these visors for display in my collection of sculls. Can you please help me with some opinions on this cap. So many are traded between collectors and never find there way out to us. Thanks to a few of you guys who are on the look out for a "good" one for me.

REPAIR...Does this bother anyone?

Does this bother anyone. When I asked about it the seller said he repaired it because it was coming off there? Others comments could be was it an upgrade?

Cary I think your hat is OK, it appears to be like the one which I have which initialy came from a veteran. It is mid-late war visor hat made of semi-heavy Italian gabardine type wool. Here are a few images of my salty dog
