Panzerjäger sidecap/overseas cap

Hello Gents,

In the first place the best wishes for 2010

I've got this sidecap I don't have a very good feeling with...








the cloth seems to feel, smell and look right compared to a Greatcoat I have. The interior has some serious sweat stains, due to the flash that's not very good to see. The stitching as well, but I just have an feeling from it.

can anyone releave me from this brainpain?

it could be an ex gratcoat, or done with original wool material,
but i doubt it is an original sidecap IMHO, sorry.

I don't like the look of the lining material and the soutache looks to be applied incorrectly. Mike.

yes sir but i wouldnt through it out why not keep it for a display it is what it is another coat down the drain imo

Well yes, that's true but I prefer the "real" items. I guess I will find someone who would want this in his collection, whitout being troubled, having a put-together-item. I'll stick to the two I had already.
