M43 heer cap with black lining- does it exist?

    Hello,
Have you ever seen an example of M43 heer cap made from fieldgray wool and with black (or dark gray, dark blue), shiny lining? Have you got any photos of them?

    Best regards,
    Oskar

I learned to never say never in collecting this stuff but I would be highly suspicious.

Can't tell much from the single photo. I'm not even sure the lining is black or just bad photography...

I can not comment on Einheitsfeldmütze, but I know that winter hats with a black lining do exist, albeit made from pulped wool. The shiny material you are referring to is so-called "Rayon" (i.e. imitation silk).

          Best Wishes,
          Vincent S.

By "standard", Glenn, you mean it is not black?

Looks like a standard grey type rayon to me which varied in shades, certainly not black.

I would say that photo is from Gerard's site, relichunter.com

The cap has a grey silk lining. It is a nice cap.

Lenny, that cap in question on Gerards site, i thought that maker stamping was found to be incorrect ?? im sure there was a thread couple of months ago talking about this stamping and comments made seem negative, or am i just mistaken ??
