But frankly the thread should have been allowed to remain as there is need for potential buyers to see it IMHO.

Thank you but please Glenn, I wish or ask no special consideration.

It is only MHO that people considering the purchase of this example should be aware that there have been concerns expressed about it; in an effort to help them make a more "informed" decision.

      Thank you again sir.

It would seem that this thread was re-instituted due to my comments. Therefore, I should at the very least weigh in on the subject

From the pictures, a difficult call to make with certainty; however, if a person wanted only one example of this type of hat, this would Not be the example for them. Personally, I would not own it.

Sir, my OPINION (for what it might be worth) is normally there for the asking; you are quite welcome.

Is it the hat or the T-bird you don't like and isn't this a austrian bergmütze?

Exactly Jaegermeister, is a early type and so called by many collectors.

i would think the early models did not have grommets the ones on the cap posted shure look suspicious to me
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.
