                  I have owned 2 of the blue caps and 1 white top. All were made like a standard Kriegsmarine issue visor cap and were marked inside, on the sweat diamond "Verkaufsabteilung der Luftwaffe".

                    Interesting info, Gerard.

                    BTW, glad to see you posting here again.

                      It would be nice if you have images of these visors in your archives which you could post here.

                      For a couple of the visors posted so far we can no longer read what was marked on them.

                      My take on German dealer prices in this summer of recovery is that the dollar has gone down against the euro and the prices, in euros, up. Quality, at least for badges, down at the higher euro price. Go figure.

                      Anyway, the first two inside shots of visors posted. Note, none of them have the "Verkaufsabteilung der Luftwaffe" you are talking about (or we cannot read it since it is missing or worn off perhaps). Not sure they were there at some place or not on all of such visors. Or, if only your visors had them.

                      Top: Mine

                      Bottom: Sold by Craig Gottieb to another collector

                      All four, even if you cannot read all of them, are distinctly different as can be seen.

                          The hard to find embroidered type of badge for this unit is shown on this thread;
