Not a headgear collector but...things pile up

A friend asked me if I collected headgear for a possible trade. I said no, but I have a couple things. Next thing I know I am going through my stuff all in different areas. I amalgamate it all and 17 m43 caps, and 10 o/s. Not a lot I know, but things do add up over time...Never realized it.
I know guys that have over 125 heer m43 caps in their collections, so my few is puny in comparison. So I guess I still am not a headgear collector but I do like them and pick them up when I can.
There are some neat Italian manufacture variants that I especially like.

I would say all are original applied insignia, maybe 2-3 are reapplied.

Ha, dont worry they are all already put away in neat tidy boxes stacked up in various places and wont see the light of day for at least another year or so.

it's just that as a young collector, I can only dream of having a nice feldmutze or schiffe! I like your caps!

When I was a kid I saw a pile twice as big as that on a table at a gun show - Your choice - $7.50 each. I got a Luftwaffe and my friend got an HJ Flak Helper. I had an Italian made Heer officer M43 and couldn't give it away because everyone said it was not correct. I finally sold it to an Italian collector. He said Americans just don't know or understand theater made stuff. Of course, that was long before forums like this.
