I wonder why the scallops were cut off, I don't think it was was post war done, as why do that yet leave the insignia on? Strange

Perhaps the second example M-43 is with it's own design. It looks like it was made this way with no repairs, and is really clean.

The first example does have remaining fabric and thread where the removal was done.

my example was period done and in hand, has some hand stiching around the sides of the liner
