    Luft Bergmutze?

Picked this up off the Estand a few months ago, question is; has anyone seen this button and button hole arrangement before? No sign at all that the button was once sewn on top of the strip.
I believe this to be a true LW bergmutze due to the grommets and the visor being shorter than an M43. Any thoughts or comments welcome.

I've seen it on pre-TR bergs, so that may help to solidify it's origins. It sure looks real as hell.

looks ok to me internal peak stifener judging from the wear on the sweatband thats a good sign ,insignia looks replaced to me though hard to tell from the blurry pics
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.
