What is the Earliest-Dated Erel Vented-Cockade You Have Seen?

It has to be the white-top recently posted: May 16, 1938 -- a full 2 years before Lubstein received his patent. Anyone seen earlier?

Hi Chris, does this one have the sort of creamy effect colour to the other side of the sweatband? I had a very nice vented Infantry one from Gerard that looked to be an early one and the sweatband although tan leather had a creamy tinge to it. Quite a few early looking ones I have seen had that colouration on the sweatband also...

I sold it to the old brigade it may still be there.

It is still there and this pic shows what I mean.. This is a nice cap by the way..

I know Stuart so as this is a good cap it won't be a problem showing it here as it is worth buying.....
