Nice looking cap and beautifully photographed. Congratulations.

I've always been under the assumption that caps bearing unit Geprüft markings meant that it started out life as an OR's cap as officer's caps didn't require unit acceptance marks. Truth or myth?

Lovely cap, with just the amount of wear I like on a cap. Jacques

Very nice signal EREL. It seems the cap is upgraded from EM/NCO to offcier.

                              Ciao Paolo

It appears that we have here a truly nice visor from Nachrichten-Abteilung 36.

This unit was part of the 36th Division, formed on 10.06.1936 in Neustadt an der Weinstraße (WK XII), then destroyed at Bobruysk in June 1944 during the Soviet Bagration summer offensive and finally rebuilt on 10.15.1944 in Baumholder.

At the start of the war the Nachrichten-Abteilung 36 was composed by a Fernsprechkompanie, a Funkkompanie and a Nachrichtenkolonne; at the eve of its rebulding in 1944 it had only the HQ and 1st coy but it ended the war in 1945 with its full organic composition.
