Black Under Visor, Real??

I just picked this visor up. Everything about it looks correct to me but I'm a bit thrown off by the visor. It's some kind of hard material painted black. At first glance it looks like plastic but it's not. I have other original visors with black under but this one seems more glossy. I took pics both with and without flash. I believe it to be a late war, low end cap.

Any opinions would help a lot.

Black under the visor is fine; its just the same lacquer as is on top. Probably used by several makers (I know all black visors can be found on some Schellenberg caps)...
