Hello, here you have mine. Not all white topped Km caps are from U-Boot commanders, but as you say they are really nice.

I found it unused with the original maker box and the three tops, two white and one blue.

Collector of Kriegsmarine and Küstenartillerie items

    Regards
    Eduardo

        Great thread. Thanks for sharing!

I wouldn't mind picking up a MIB visor with a couple of extra tops.

Named and verifiable white-top visors for U-boat commanders are among the rarest of German visors across all branches of service. The KM wasn't that large to begin with, and some 75% of U-boat commander caps were probably lost at sea.

Hell, I'd pay a good sum for Jurgen Prochnow's cap from Das Boot!

This hat is perfect in all aspects in my opinion, PERFECT! It was his patrol hat, and he kept the U-256 emblem on it throught his service. I found it on the www.Atlantik-Pirat.com Showcase. If anybody knows of any more out there, has any pictures, or stories; Please by all means feel free to share them. Thank you

The same cap when it was for sell on a dealer website, a perfect an untouched exemple...

something needs to be done about that corrosion or there will be nothing left soon. Matt
