Looks fine Dion, the name tag looks totaly authentic as well. You've got a real nice, named cap from a rare maker.

Here is under the hood. I blacklighted the string for the heck of it, all together nothing glows on the cap, as a sidenote.

Hello Gentlemen,
For me, the visor cap is a perfectly fine original. The shades of Luftwaffe blue gray always vary, in my opinion. I have issue Luftwaffe tunics which vary greatly from gray to blue. The same can be said of the visor cap tops. The materials and manufacture all look good. I have also seen this maker mark before on original period visor caps from both Heer and Luftwaffe.

My initial gut-feeling from the pics was 100% positive. Other than the deeper shade of blue, which turns up occasionally, it looks 'textbook' to me.
