Interesting label inside cap - Krakau . Place of maker ?

the label is made of cloth, maybe meant for something else from the beginning.

I preface my comments with the statement that many are more knowledeable than I am, but I am interested in these Matrosenmützen.

Pristine condition but I've never seen that green-grey sweat band before. Obviously not standard Navy issue so it would be private purchase if it is indeed period? It would help to see pictures of the stiffener behind the sweatband and photos with the top off.
I like the Kriegsmarine Mützenband.
I'd like to see what others say, e.g. KM-Spain.

Hello, interesting piece. I have some questions; is the inside shield celluloid?, look like that; is this stitch to the linning of the cap ot to the top?, if it has linning what is the color?, the picture is so dark.

Is the first time that I have seen a sailor cap with this grey sweatband but these was used in officer caps. I would like to see details of the top of the linning and under the sweatband.

The laber inside the shield is the owner identification.

I think it would very helpful and important for general knowledge to see what the stiffener looks like behind the sweat band on these green-grey sweatbands. Any chance you could post a few more photos for the forum?

If the name tag were original to the cap then that means a year of issue of 1935, yet the cap looks unused and the Kriegsmarine tally is obviously of later wartime issue. So it would seem to be assembled from period parts, but it would help to see the material of the stiffener behind the sweatband.

I agree with you Norm, it would be very interesting see the stiffener and the top/linning details.

The year in the name tag is the year of the enlistment of the sailor, so he can used this tag in a piece from 1935 or from 1944, so this is nbot a problem or means that is an assembled piece.
