I'd like to hear opinions on this Wehrmacht Veterinarian/General Staff officer's side cap. Are there any red flags? I've managed to burn myself on these before so I thought I better ask those who have handled more of these than I have.

I really don't think it is Artillery (though I still need one!!!). I have taken a couple of shots of the soutache next to carmine and bright red. Here is the side cap next to General Staff collar tabs:
