      One more tidbit. These were pretty expensive at the time. I think they sold for around $225. I almost got one back in the day just to see what they were like.

        A very convincing fake from the outside, although the eagle looks a bit large.

          I think most of the repros out there today (since many come from Asia) are poor quality, but this one is much nicer than those. I guess what I'm curious about are specific characteristics that make the older reproductions better. I'm also going to go out on a limb here and say that many members of this forum do not have (or can afford) original general's visors. So what I am trying to determine is what to look for in a 'good' replica cap. Make sense?
