Luftwaffe Officer Candidate cap on Ebay

    Gentlemen,
I apologize for not being able to post photos, but if you can look up Ebay item # 290346081518, you will see what is puported to be a "100% original" Luftwaffe Flak aspirant's cap.
My belief is that at the very least, it is a 'Frankenstein", but it may just be a repro. To me, the sweatband is totally incorrect, as is the cap lining.
    What do the experts think?

Isn't that the type of sweatband more commonly seen in KM caps? Did the Germans use that type post-war also?

Yes,I'm inclined to think it's from a postwar West German cap. I emailed the seller with my concerns; no reply.

Auction has ended; someone blew $360.99 on this bogus cap.

              Just my 20 cents.

I couldn't tell 100% from the seller's pics, but all real other ranks caps I have handled in the Luftwaffe, have been Gaberdine / Trikot material whilst this looks on my monitor as a bit "doeskin", which I would not be happy with.

I have only actually for that matter handled a few doeskin officer's visors, nearly all I have handles have also been in the gaberdine / trikot material.
