GJ Officers summer weight style Bergmutze?

Request input for this example I have on approval.

    - It seems to be a cross between a bergmutze and M43 type style. There is a prox 1.5" wide stiffner behind the bevo flatwire t form insignia .

    - There is a partial leather sweatband that is an exact match to an unquestionable infantry officers overseas cap I have.

    - The material is very "floppy" light weight with a cotton type lining material that has faded . There is no evidence of any size mark faded or otherwise.

    - The buttons are very close together and overlap on the turn down as well as there is no loops present

I have not seen other good or outright bad examples like this that I can put my finger on to ID this one?

I have included photos I think will help. All comments welcomed. Thank you

Both sides have a field gray wool lining machined behind buttons and button holes as part of the construction. Buttons are very close together and overlap.

I like it...so that's probably bad news for you...ha ha. It looks like other private purchase caps I have seen, very nice quality. I'm sure the comments will be forthcoming, at least you will have one positive, but possibly wrong, as M-43's are not my strong suit.

                        Richard,

Thank you for your reply , I can not find anything to compare with this one? Its about a US size 7 1/4 .

I personaly like it very much for a privately made one.

                            Thank you,

These officer variations are the absolute hardest for me to authenticate. The details seem to very so much compared to em contract issue ones.

Have you ever seen private purchase heer officer examples with such small turn down flaps? The buttons are very close together and overlap ?

Has the Qualitats Marke sweatband been observed in early post war use? I have an Infantry officers overseas cap in wool with the same partial sweatband that is unquestionably original.

Looks like very few will offer anything on this one. Fair enough.
