    Hello,

Police cap is a first pattern volunteer fire department fatigue cap circa 1936.
Looks OK from what is presented. These are common and not particularly sought after by police collectors.

Can't comment on the Police OC, but I can on the other cap. From where I'm sitting, it bears great reseamblance with a Swedish winter cap. More photographs are needed to make a proper judgement though, as I've seen standard German Schiffchen converted into winter caps. Might be me, but I do not like the way that eagle is sewn on, nor the material of the cap itself.

        Kind regards,
        Vincent S.

better pics are needed but the eagle looks like repro breast eagle ?
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

The fur cap is Swedish, as I supposed. Just look at the 3 crowns, symbol of the Swedish Army.

                Hi,

Yes Swedish but is it original TR modified and is the police hat original? They were supposedly brought back buy the guys grandfather.

The police cap is a nice example, not worth a whole lot. I sold one a few years ago for like 150 and I had that cap for almost a year before it sold. But as for the breast eagle I could be wrong but believe its the 4 feather fake. Some one please correct me if im wrong here. Matt

                    Hi,

As far as I'm concerned the cap has no chance of being a wartime modification. Sweden was neutral during the war, so the supply of stock of Swedish Army uniforms to the German troops would have been minimal, if existing at all.

                    Kind Regards,
                    Vincent S.

I agree!! These swedish fur hats were rather used by finnish officers during the war years.
IMO that cap is good but insignia isn't.

That police sidecap look OK to me.
