    Army forestry visor cap

I would like to know how rare is an army forestry visor cap and what will be a good price for it , thanks .

The problem is that most "Army" forestry visors are regular Forstdienst visors that have been screwed with. I had one about 20 years ago, and haven't seen another good one for sale since.

The hardest ones to tell are the pre-1938 converted Forstdienst visors. Those only used only a cockade, so the tell-tell long-wreath prong-holes/imprints would not be present. However, most WH wreaths are one-piece, so there should be extra holes from the solo cockade.

Just the other day there was an Erel Forstdienst visor being sold as a WH "Admistrative"visor--you could clearly see that it once had a political eagle, not a heer eagle. (It was definately not army forst)>

Well, Weitze's has a definate chance. I like to see the green-backed eagle/wreath, but only a view of the pasteboard would allow us to definately conclude that it is actually LW Forestry:

Actually, I gotta say that this is the first one I have liked based on pics alone since Shutt sold his thru Manions back in the 80's (and I was outbid then):

Paul--WH-Forst w/ velvet band? Just when I think I have seen it all!

BTW, here is the "Administrative" visor that was on eban:

Interior--pre-war, so this could have been one of the single-cockade early Forstdienst visors:
