Hello. I have searched the forum for "Heiler" and have come up that it is a postwar costume/theater company that acquired wartime jackets or a tailor in Munich. Does anyone know which is it?? Both?
Background: I obtained a army Colonel's jacket, with shoulder strap insignia from the 7th Rifle Regimen,t about 14 years ago. It is a typical early officer's quality five button officers tunic with green collar with award loops (ribbon bar, Iron Cross 1st Class and one other) on the left side and the German Cross on the right side. Stamped nside is the name "Heiler" in several places. The stamps look similar to some of the picyures previously posted in this forum.
Also since there are only about three colonels of the 7th that were awarded the German Cross I can only assume that one of them at one time owned the jacket.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
