my fav
his name was Unteroffizier Heinrich Schnuer, he was born 11.3.1923 in Jlsenburg and lost his live in the night of 24.4.1944 over the united kingdom near dorset.
On the night of 23/24 of April 1944 the Geschwader was on a bombing mission to Bristol, UK.
117 bombers from IX Fliegerkorps were to take part in this mission.
4 aircraft were lost from KG 2.
Schnuer was acting as observer in Ju 188 E1 "U5+GH", Werk Nr. 180414 with 1 Staffel, I Gruppe, Kampfgeschwader 2.
Their plane was shot down by flak and was was seen to crash at 02:30 in Arne, Dorset, UK.
on that dramatic night he and his crew ( all around 21/22 years old crashed)

i own his cap and inside the cap i found 2 newspapers from 1942 and 2 theater tickets,
These theater tickets made me realize he had these for over a year in his cap, so the young man must have had a good night and maybe he kept the tickets to remind him of a night with the boys or a girl who knowsAttached Files
