                it is hand applied but how can you see if it is wartime applied ?

                            hello,

                            regulation order to remove soutache was given july 10, 1942.
                            markings might be faded, often the case on a worn sidecap.
                            normaly there was always at least size,
                            and in most cases manufacturer and year of manufacturing.
